Natural Ways to Treat Cold Symptoms at Home

1. Ginger Tea- A Healing Brew:
- Ginger is famous to have anti inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It relieves throat pain, prevents or curtails coughing and treats infections.
Instructions of Use:
- In a cup of water bring out a few slices of fresh ginger and boil it 5 minutes.
- Add strain, add honey and lemon juice and drink hot.
- Take three to five sips 2 to 3 times a day.
2. Golden milk or Turmeric Milk: What a Healing agent!
- Turmeric is made up of curcumin strong anti inflammatory and antiviral. It is an old Indian solution that has been used over generations to counter cold and increase immune level.
Use:
- Heat up a milky drink.
- Put 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder.
- Stir and drunk at bedtime.
- This medication is capable of relieving the cold and ensuring improved sleep.
3. Natural Cough Syrup Honey and Lemon:
- Honey is antibacterial, soothing, and lemon contains vitamin C, which is a natural remedy that relaxes the throat and eliminates coughing.
Use:
- Combine one table spoon of honey with a teaspoon of lemon.
- Take with warm water by the spoon or stir to dissolve.
- Use 3-2 times every day.
Note: Do not feed children under one year old honey.

- Heat the water and put it in a bowl.

5. Tulsi (Holy Basil):

Use:
- Eat or chew 4-5 fresh tulsi leaves a day.
- Or, boil tulsi leaves in water adding ginger and drink it as an herbal tea.
- The everyday consumption ensures immunity and avoids frequent colds.
6. Nature:s Antibiotic Garlic:
- Garlic is loved due to its allicin which acts as antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal. It lowers intensity and the length of cold symptoms.
Use:
- Take a couple of garlic cloves crushed and then mixed with honey. Eat directly.
- Or, in soups and broths, put crushed garlic to them.
- Garlic makes the immune system harder and natural killer of infection.
7. Salt Water Gargle:
- Alleviate the Pain in Throat: Salt Water Gargle can relieve the throat pain.
- Salt water gargle is a very basic and successful part of home remedy in sore throat due to colds.
Use:
- In a glass of warm water dissolve 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- Do 15-30 seconds gargling and spit.
- Do at least several times a day.
- Salt causes de-swelling and facilitates the removal of irritants.
8. Drink Lots of Water:
- Detoxify Your Body When you are down with cold you lose your body fluids very fast (provided you are having a fever or nasal discharge). Staying hydrated:

- Herbal teas
- Clear broths
