- One thing which can be definitely found in every Indian kitchen is an egg. Eggs save the day whether we want breakfast, lunch or a nocturnal snack too lazy or too busy to prepare something big. The greatest thing of it all? One can prepare some of the most delicious food in 10 minutes.
- I recall how eggs came to our rescue during my days in the hostel at college. The kind of substandard food we had in the canteen did not matter because just to have a boiled egg or an omelette was enough to fill our hearts and stomachs. Today I decided to present 7 fast and tasty egg recipes which you can cook in less than 10 minutes. 🍳 1. Old Fashioned Masala Omelette
Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- 1 ea small onion (finely chopped)
- 1 green chilli (chopped )
- Some pieces of coriander
- To taste, Salt and pepper
- 1 tbp oil
Method:
- Crack the eggs in a bowl and mix in salt, pepper, onion, chilli and coriander leaves. Beat well. Heat oil and fry the mixture on either way in a Tawa or pan till it turns golden. Serve on toast or hot rice. It is an easy but delicious dish at any time!

- A pinch of turmeric can be also added to this soup to add some colour and even more taste.

Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 tomato (cut)
- 1 green chilli
- 1 tsp of ginger-garlic paste
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- To taste salt
- A tsp of oil
Method:
- Put some oil in a pan. Fry, onions, green chilli and ginger-garlic paste. Add tomatoes, turmeric and red chilli powder. Cook until the tomatoes get soft. Chop eggs and pour into the pan. Mix fast over the medium flame till it becomes fluff and dry. Sprinkle leaves of coriander. Cook it with chapati or bread.

3. Boil Egg Salad:
Ingredients:
- 2 eggs that are boiled
- 1 little cucumber
- 1 chop tomato
- 1 half onion (cut in slices)
- To taste Salt and pepper
- An ounce of lemon juice
Method:
- Cut up boiled eggs slice or cube. Toss the vegetables cut. Add pepper, salt and lemon juice. Shake up and serve on ice. High in nutrients, satisfying and ideal to weight-watchers.
Pro Tip:
- Instead, sprinkle some chaat masala on top of it to get that Indian flavours.
4. Egg Sandwich:
Ingredients:
- 2 boiled eggs
- 4 pieces of Bread
- 1 tsp buter or mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper
Method:
- Boil mash eggs, add salt, pepper and a mix of a bit of mayo. Put this mixture on slices of bread, add tomato or lettuce with your preference, put another slice of bread on it, and now you have a sandwich. Toast, grill, as you like. Chop and chop.
5. Egg Fried Rice:
Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup rice cooked
- 1 onion
- 1/4 cup of mixed vegetables (optional)
- 2 tsp Chinese sauce
- Pepper and salt
- 1 tsp oil
Method:
- Fry oil in a pan, scramble the eggs and set aside. Sautee onions and veggies in the same pan. Add rice that is cooked and soy sauce, salt and pepper. Toss well. Put the scrambled eggs again and stir everything and serve it hot.

- Leftover rice out of your lunch is ideal.
6. An Egg Curry to Speed:
Idiengrents:
- 2 eggs boiled
- 1 onion sliced
- 1 cut up tomato
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- A fourteenth of a teaspoon of turmeric
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp of coriander powder
- To taste salt
- 1 cup of water
- 1 tsp of oil
Method:
- Fry oil in the pan, saute onions and ginger-garlic,Add tomato. Cook until the tomatoes are mushy. Pour some water in and allow it boiling. Place boiled eggs (cut small slits on the eggs to add flavour. Simmer two minutes. decorate with coriander.

- Use ready made curry masala, and save on time.
7. Egg Toast Bread:
Ingredients:
- 1 egg
- b/w 1 bread slice
- Salt plus pepper
- 1 tsp butter
Method:
- Make a small gap on the bread centre. Melt some butter in a frying pan, turn on the bread and break an egg into the hole. Sprinkle with pepper and salt. Keep covered and cook in low flame 2 -3 minutes. Cook again on another minute carefully turning of the flip side. Out is crispy and inner is soft!
